Police hypothesized a murder-suicide based on the evidence and identified the victims Monday.

Luis Napoles was a 40-year-old Miami resident who hit infamy after essentially murdering his girlfriend and her roommate before killing himself.

Napoles according to reports was dating Meghan Moore, who lived with Sidney Capolino in a a condominium near Bird Road and Southwest 70th Court in Southwest Miami-Dade.

For some reason, he decided to end all their lives on Saturday, March 16th 2024.

Luis Napoles, aged 40, claimed the lives of two women – Meghan Moore, 25, and Sidney Capolino, 23 – and himself.

Luis Napoles fatally shot his girlfriend, Meghan Moore, outside their apartment.

He then entered the building and killed Sidney Capolino, who was Moore’s roommate.

Finally, Napoles took his own life.

Moore, 25 years old, was originally from Centerville, Massachusetts.

She was the girlfriend of Luis Napoles, the perpetrator.

Moore was shot and killed by Napoles outside their apartment.

She was a former student-athlete at New Hampshire’s New England College who played for the women’s ice hockey team at the college.

According to her bio on the New England College website, Meghan Moore was a “2017 graduate of Barnstable High School…named a Schreiner All-Star, a League All-Star, and the best offensive player,”

It also revealed she was the daughter of Marybeth and Billy Moore from Barnstable, Massachusetts.

Meghan had two siblings, William and Molly.

Her roommate, Sidney Capolino, 23 years old, was the other victim.

Capolino hailed from Pawling, New York and was Moore’s longtime friend and roommate.

Like Moore, Capolino was a former student-athlete at New England College where she also played for the women’s ice hockey team at the same college.

Dr. Wayne F. Lesperance, Jr., President of New England College, released a statement addressing the tragic loss of Meghan Moore and Sidney Capolino at the hands of Luis Napoles.

“Dear New England College Community,” he wrote.

“I am writing to you today to share some tragic news. Two recent New England College graduates, Sidney Capolino ’22 and Meghan Moore ’21, were killed this past weekend in Florida. Meghan and Sidney were known to many on campus, and we are deeply saddened by this devastating news.

“We are keeping Sidney and Meghan’s families and friends in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

“As we pause to process the gravity of the event, it is important that we support and care for each other. If you need support, counseling services are available at the NEC Wellness Center.

“While it is Spring Break the next two weeks and many of you are not here on campus, please know that our staff are here for you and able to support you. Please reach out to [email protected] to connect with a counselor,”

New England College (NEC) is a private liberal arts college in Henniker, New Hampshire.

As of Fall 2020 New England College’s enrollment was 4,327 students (1,776 undergraduate and 2,551 graduate).[4] The college is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education.

Founded in 1946, New England College was established to serve the needs of servicemen and women attending college on the G.I. Bill after World War II.
