A woman was killed after a DUI crash in North Kingstown Thursday evening on Boston Neck Road.
Linda Sherman, 53, was riding a tricycle in the breakdown lane just before 7 p.m. when she was hit from behind by a Jeep.
Daniel Famiglietti, 59, a former Providence police officer, was arrested for the crash and charged with driving under the influence, resulting in death.
The Warwick native appeared arraigned before court Friday and released on bail.
Following the late night crash, Sherman was taken to Kent Hospital but could not survive her injuries.
