Douglas Leap is a Blair County man who has been arrested and set to be charged following the shooting death of Ambrose Bowers.
Bowers was found on a Cresson Borough street Sunday shot multiple times. He bled out and died.
Following an investigation, Leap, 46 of Cresson, was arrested and charged Monday.
According to the state police, members of Troop A, Ebensburg Patrol Unit, were dispatched to a report of gunshots.
“Upon arrival, troopers located a known adult male lying in the roadway within the 500 block of Front Street,” Trooper Cliff Greenfield wrote in a release to the media.
Police are continuing to investigate the case, but it is believed to be an “isolated” incident and there is no ongoing danger to the public.
